BELFOR UK BUILDING CONTRACTOR NETWORK – FULLY OPERATIONAL

BELFOR UK are pleased to announce its ‘Building Contractor Network’ is now fully operational. With the appointment of Paul Anderson – Director of Construction Services in early 2019, BELFOR UK has been developing its construction services offering. Working with existing tried and tested partners from within the claims industry BELFOR UK has established a UK wide Building Contractor Network, enabling it to offer full end to end property damage services. The development is the first phase of a strategic vision to offer in-house single source solution services which deliver tangible claim lifecycle reductions and ‘total claim cost savings’, with an improved customer journey.

Paul Anderson, Director of Construction Services for BELFOR UK commented: "Expanding our service offering to include construction services has been a strategic objective of the business for some time. By embedding key elements to our existing restoration and recovery services we can now offer a full range of front-end emergency and enabling building services. This includes services such as plumbing, electrical, stripping out and asbestos remediation, with the associated subsequent reconstruction and refurbishment services (e.g. plastering & decorating). The challenge and goal has been to do this with a directly employed workforce of specialist trades and industry experience, ensuring we deliver the level of quality and control our customers demand. As such, we have been recruiting multi trades personnel and up-skilling and developing our existing staff. Such change does not happen overnight however, and we recognised the need to offer something better to our clients. We therefore decided to compliment this by establishing our own building contractor network. As our service offering develops and grows, we will in turn grow, both organically and with acquisitions, to a point in time when we have full nationwide coverage across all services which are delivered in-house. It’s ambitious but is a logical development for us. Our customers want it and other BELFOR countries within the group already have similar successful models in place.

Choosing the right partners who can work directly with our operational teams in the field and who can mirror our values has been crucial. By carefully developing this service offering in partnership with key clients on a regional trial basis, we have had seen excellent results and a great response from our customers. With the recent appointment of key management personnel in the areas of Surveying and CDM we now have a service in place that is able to grow as customer demand requires."
