BELFOR CEO Surprises 103-year-old Client and Miami Heat Superfan

In 2019, the home of 103-year-old Boca Raton, FL resident Thelma Hark, was significantly impacted by a fire outbreak. Thelma's caregiver, Primrose, jumped into action and quickly evacuated her to a safe location. 

Fortunately, Thelma's home survived the fire but suffered extensive smoke damage. Dedicated to supporting property owners with care and compassion when they need it most, fire damage restoration experts from BELFOR's South Florida location quickly arrived at Thelma's home to assess the damage and develop a recovery plan of action.

As a long-standing Miami Heat fan, Thelma was disappointed upon discovering that she wouldn't be able to watch the Heat basketball game that evening from the comfort of her home. Passionate about going above-and-beyond for clients, local BELFOR expert Kevin M. helped relocate Thelma to a nearby hotel and ensured that the Miami Heat game was available for her to watch. 

When BELFOR CEO Sheldon Yellen heard Thelma's story, he was inspired by her humble heart and set up a special surprise visit from Miami Heat superstar and hall-of-famer, Alonzo Mourning.
