BELFOR Restores 69 Production Machines Following Major Hat Yai Flood

ABOUT SEMPERFLEX ASIA CORPORATION LIMITED

Semperflex Asia Corporation Limited is a leading manufacturer of hydraulic and industrial hoses, operating a major production facility in Hat Yai, Thailand. Serving customers across the manufacturing, construction, agriculture, mining, and infrastructure sectors, the company relies on uninterrupted production to meet customer demand and maintain supply chain continuity.

THE CHALLENGE

Between 19 and 27 November 2025, severe rainfall triggered widespread flooding across Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, Thailand. On 24 November 2025, floodwaters breached the flood protection barriers at Semperflex Asia Corporation Limited’s manufacturing facility, inundating the production area with water levels reaching approximately 70 centimetres above floor level.

Critical production machinery, electrical control cabinets, and associated equipment were affected by flooding and sustained damage. As a result, the business faced temporary operational challenges and an increased risk of prolonged production downtime.

THE RESPONSE

Semperflex Asia engaged BELFOR (Thailand) Ltd., a global leader in disaster recovery, on 30 November 2025. BELFOR immediately mobilised its specialists to assess the damage and implement a structured recovery plan.:

  • 2 December 2025 – Comprehensive damage assessment and recovery strategy aligned to business continuity objectives.
  • 7 December 2025 – Deployment of specialised personnel, equipment and restoration technologies.
  • Full-scale restoration of machinery control panels, electrical systems and production equipment affected by floodwater.
  • Close collaboration with Semperflex Asia’s engineering, maintenance and production teams to accelerate recovery and minimise downtime.

THE RESULTS

Through effective project management, specialised technical expertise and strong collaboration between both teams, 69 production machines and manufacturing lines were successfully restored and returned to operation.

The recovery project was completed in approximately 1.5 months, enabling the facility to resume production within the targeted timeframe. By restoring critical equipment instead of replacing it, BELFOR helped minimise operational disruption, reduce recovery costs and significantly mitigate the business impact of the flood event.

The successful restoration enabled Semperflex Asia to restart production faster than anticipated, safeguard productivity, protect revenue and achieve its business continuity objectives.

CUSTOMER FEEDBACK

CONCLUSION

BELFOR’s prompt action, specialized knowledge, and close collaboration with the Semperflex Asia team enabled the facility to overcome a severe flood event with minimal business disruption. The successful recovery of 69 production machines and process lines within 42 working days reflects BELFOR’s ongoing mission to restore more than property, to restore business continuity, peace of mind, and livelihoods.
