BELFOR CEO Sheldon Yellen On CBS Season Finale Of Undercover Boss

BELFOR CEO Sheldon Yellen will be featured on Epic Bosses, a special episode of UNDERCOVER BOSS that will provide fans of the show with updated information on some of the most compelling episodes. This fourth season finale will air Friday, May 17 at 8:00-9:00 ET/PT.

The BELFOR episode of the show first aired on January 16, 2011. Over 13 million viewers tuned in to see Sheldon disguised as Tom Kelly try his hand at installing drywall, removing soot and inspecting a crawl space. The episode was one of the most popular ones of the entire series, and has since aired repeatedly in the United States and overseas.

Sheldon’s expressive demeanor, as well his concern for his employees, was so powerful that the episode received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Reality Program in 2011.

Larry Holder Wins Prestigous Restoration Industry Association MLK Award

BELFOR National Safety Director and head of BELFOR Environmental Larry Holder, CR, received the Restoration Industry Association's [RIA] highest honor, the Martin L. King Award, at the 2013 Leadership Summit and Industry Expo in Las Vegas, NV, April 23- 25. The award recognizes exceptional service and dedication to the restoration industry. Larry has been in the industry for over 20 years, and during that time, he has served on critical task forces and advisory committees that created essential industry standards and guidelines for the RIA.

“To have been selected for the Martin L. King Award from among the many highly deserving RIA volunteers is truly an honor,“ said Holder. RIA represents over 20,000 professionals from 1,100 member firms. BELFOR is the only restoration company that now has had two recipients of this award.

BELFOR Wins Chrysalis Award

BELFOR Sterling has again won the prestigious Chrysalis Award, 2013 National Award for Residential Insurance Reconstruction, after the custom rebuilding of a fire-damaged home in the Washington DC area. Senior Estimator Bruce Cook and his team not only handled the emergency services and restoration, but they also worked with the family to reconfigure the interior space, upgrading and expanding the kitchen, adding dormers and converting the attic into additional living space.

The BELFOR Sterling office has been a regional as well as a national winner of the Chrysalis Award in commercial and residential categories over the years, and has previously won a Decade of Excellence Award reflecting their long-term commitment to excellence and professionalism.

BELFOR Nashville Tennessee General Manager Russ Dailey has attained the highest level of recognition and respect in the restoration field - Certified Restorer (CR). Dailey’s formal acceptance as a Certified Restorer makes him part of an elite group of professionals that have a proven track record of field experience in all major aspects of restoration as well as an extensive educational background including OSHA training, project management, commercial drying and building science.

The Certified Restorer is the highest recognition in the cleaning and restoration industry awarded to professionals engaged in property damage restoration resulting from fire, water, vandalism or other catastrophes. Since the inception of the CR in 1976, only 609 individuals have earned this designation.
