At BELFOR Taiwan, many of our people work behind the scenes, using their expertise and dedication to help clients through some of their most difficult moments. Few embody this better than Roy Yin, a project manager with 19 years at BELFOR.
Since joining BELFOR in 2007, Roy has grown from technical engineer to project manager, building deep expertise in disaster recovery, equipment decontamination and semiconductor services. Along the way, he has watched Taiwan’s high-tech industry take off and helped BELFOR reach some of its most important milestones in the semiconductor market.
From Engineer to Project Manager
Roy believes strong project management starts with solid technical skills. Years of hands-on fieldwork early in his career taught him to understand exactly what clients need and to make the right call quickly, even under high pressure and high risk.
As a project manager, he brings that technical background together with strong leadership, guiding teams through complex projects of every kind. Today, clients see him as a trusted advisor and partner.
Pioneering BELFOR’s Semiconductor Services
As Taiwan’s semiconductor industry grew, Roy played a key role in helping BELFOR grow with it.
Starting from scratch, he planned and built BELFOR’s cleanroom decontamination and recovery capabilities for the semiconductor sector. The result was a repeatable, sustainable project model that has made BELFOR a long-term recovery partner for many leading technology companies.
Under his leadership, BELFOR’s services have grown to include:
- Semiconductor equipment inspection and assessment
- Cleanroom contamination control, decontamination and recovery
- Production system and facility recovery
- Emergency response planning and execution
- Risk management and prevention consulting
Roy also helped establish a partnership with a world-leading semiconductor foundry, further strengthening BELFOR’s position in the high-tech and semiconductor industries.

For Roy, safety and quality are never up for negotiation.
Over the years, he has helped raise BELFOR’s safety standards to meet the strict requirements of the semiconductor industry and built a “zero tolerance” safety culture within the team. As he often tells his colleagues:

Sharing Knowledge Across the Industry
Beyond his project work, Roy is an active voice in the industry.
He has represented BELFOR as a speaker at SEMICON Taiwan and other industry forums, sharing his experience in disaster recovery, contamination control and risk management for high-tech facilities, and helping more companies understand why fast emergency response and recovery matter.
He is also one of the key advisors for BELFOR’s RED ALERT® preventive risk management program, providing clients with real-time advice and technical support so they can limit losses and get back to business faster when a crisis hits.
Developing the Next Generation
For Roy, the most rewarding part of his work isn’t just completing projects. It’s developing people.
He has mentored many new engineers and project managers over the years, helping them build sound technical judgment and confidence on site. Many have grown into capable professionals in their own right, improving the team’s efficiency, reducing rework and ensuring BELFOR’s expertise is passed on.
