You first joined BELFOR Taiwan as an Operations Support Administrator and later returned as a Project Manager. What brought you back and what has kept you here all these years?
When I first joined BELFOR in 2013, I was drawn to the company’s mission and the sense of purpose behind our work. Although I left for a brief period, I quickly realised how much I valued the company’s culture, team spirit, and the meaningful nature of what we do. Coming back and becoming a Project Manager gave me the opportunity to grow professionally while continuing to make a tangible difference. Over the years, it’s the supportive environment, strong leadership, and opportunity to constantly learn that have kept me here.
Having seen BELFOR from different roles, how has your perspective of the company evolved over the years?
Experiencing BELFOR from both frontline operations and project management has given me a deeper appreciation of the company’s resilience and adaptability. I’ve seen firsthand how the organisation evolves with changing client needs and challenges, and how each role—no matter how big or small—contributes to our overall success. My perspective has shifted from focusing on task execution to understanding the bigger picture of strategy, service quality, and long-term client relationships.
What does a typical day look like for you now as a Project Manager?
Each day is different, which keeps the role both exciting and challenging. I usually start by reviewing project progress, coordinating with technicians and subcontractors, and ensuring that timelines and safety standards are met. I also spend a lot of time communicating with clients, updating them on progress and addressing any concerns. Problem-solving, team coordination, and decision-making are constant parts of my daily routine, all aimed at delivering high-quality results.
Can you share a particularly meaningful or challenging project that shaped your experience at BELFOR?
One of the most impactful projects I managed involved a large-scale restoration after a chemical leak in a high-tech facility. The pressure was intense—tight deadlines, strict safety protocols, and high client expectations. Despite the challenges, our team pulled together and delivered exceptional results. That experience not only strengthened my project management skills but also reinforced the importance of teamwork, communication, and staying calm under pressure.
Why would you recommend BELFOR to someone considering a long-term career in restoration?
BELFOR isn’t just a place to work—it’s a place to grow. The company offers real opportunities for professional development, exposure to diverse projects, and the satisfaction of helping people and businesses recover from unexpected events. If you’re looking for a dynamic environment where your efforts truly matter, and where you can build a meaningful career, BELFOR is the right choice.
