Contamination in Critical Production Areas

The main production ceiling, the overhead plenum area and the sensitive manufacturing equipment were decontaminated to ensure the facility returned it to its normal business operations.
Comprehensive Decontamination Process
Soot is often acidic and oily, making it difficult to remove with standard cleaners. BELFOR utilised our proprietary cleaning agents specifically formulated to break down and neutralise soot particles without damaging the underlying industrial materials.
In areas where soot was deeply embedded or difficult to lift, our specialised team used soft abrasive pads to physically remove stubborn contaminants from stainless-steel gas pipes and structural beams while ensuring that the integrity of the surfaces remained intact.
The plenum area was also thoroughly decontaminated to prevent the HVAC system from recirculating contaminants back into the clean production zones after the project is complete.
All surfaces were meticulously rinsed to ensure no chemical residue remains, which is a critical requirement for manufacturing environments that rely on higher standards of cleanliness.
For the sensitive manufacturing equipment, BELFOR performed a meticulous wipe-down of all external surfaces using our proprietary cleaning agents to ensure the machinery was clean and ready for inspection by the facility’s engineers.
