BELFOR Asia Technical Teams Complete Recovery Specialist Course in Thailand

From July 28 to 31, BELFOR technical teams from across Asia participated in the Recovery Specialist Course held in Thailand. The Recovery Specialist Course is BELFOR’s global technical training program designed to strengthen the knowledge and skills required to assess sites affected by fire, water damage, and other incidents, and to determine appropriate restoration methods for affected assets, including buildings, machinery, and electrical and electronic equipment.
Effective Restoration Starts with an Accurate Assessment
Every fire or water damage site is different in terms of the cause of the incident, extent of damage, level of contamination, and types of assets affected. Even at the same fire site, buildings, machinery, and electrical and electronic equipment may each require different restoration methods.
Professional restoration therefore involves more than simply removing contamination. It is important to quickly identify the extent of damage, assess the condition of affected assets, and determine which assets can potentially be restored and which require further action.
The training focused on strengthening these assessment capabilities and applying appropriate restoration methods based on the type of damage and the characteristics of each affected asset.
Turning Global Field Experience into Standardized Technical Expertise
BELFOR shares the technical knowledge and experience gained from restoration projects around the world with its regional technical teams through structured training programs. Techniques learned through training are applied at actual fire, water damage, and industrial incident sites, while experience gained in the field is fed back into ongoing technical education.
This continuous training system helps ensure that restoration expertise does not depend solely on the experience of individual technicians. Instead, it provides a structured foundation for teams in different regions to assess damage and apply appropriate restoration methods according to BELFOR standards.
Why BELFOR Korea Continues to Invest in Technical Training
At industrial facilities affected by fire or water damage, the impact may extend beyond buildings to critical business assets such as production equipment, machinery, and electrical and electronic systems. During the restoration process, it is important to determine which assets can be restored, which contamination removal methods are appropriate, and whether there is a risk of further deterioration or corrosion.
Supported by BELFOR’s global technical network and professional training system, BELFOR Korea continues to strengthen its capabilities across the restoration process—from initial response and damage assessment to precision cleaning and the restoration of industrial machinery and electrical and electronic equipment. Through ongoing technical training, BELFOR aims to ensure that its teams can apply consistent assessment criteria and deliver a high standard of restoration service regardless of who is deployed to the site.
The expertise that customers and partners rely on following an incident is built through continuous technical training combined with real-world restoration experience.
