Water or fire damage? Your restoration does not have to wait!

Our rigorous Health & Safety protocol protects you and us.

Damage happens and cannot be impressed or even prevented by corona or night and weekend hours. We know this and it is normal for our teams of claims experts. Contact restrictions, home office or home schooling are new to many people and if water damage is added to this, many people are sceptical about the important quick start of restoration.

In the current situation, letting strangers or skilled craftsmen into one's own four walls feels wrong for many people. However, leaving a damage untreated for the time being, so that it will cause even more damage in secret, is not an alternative either.

As all BELFOR employees are used to working in protective clothing, e.g. when fighting mould or in view of other contaminations, for your safety, renovations in private households are currently always carried out with protective masks, or in protective clothing if you wish. So you need not worry and we are sure that you will inform your insurance company or us at the latest if there is a positive test in your household. Then our employees will work in appropriate full protective equipment.

When water damage is involved, BELFOR uses modern drying equipment that is not only energy-efficient, but also quiet and has an additional night mode. Even if you are currently more at home than usual, the dryers can still continue to run. So there's no reason to wait, but there are many reasons to start the renovation work quickly in the event of damage.

Unfortunately damages caused by fire and water still happen regardless of the Coronavirus, and incidents like this in the home can cause major distress at the best of times. Taking immediate action to mitigate damage caused by fire and water and preventing associated secondary damage (e.g. mould, odour, corrosion) is key to recovering your home back to normal quickly and effectively.

We understand in the current situation, letting ‘strangers’ into your home may feel wrong and you may have concerns.

At BELFOR, despite the challenges the Coronavirus presents, we are still able to carry out vital works for customers who have suffered damage to their homes.  Our employees are specially trained and well experienced in the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) e.g. face masks, coveralls, gloves etc, all as part of their normal daily activities.  Our Health and Safety experts have adapted our guidelines and protocols to meet the new challenges we now face from COVID-19 and ensure both you and us are adequately protected.   You can therefore be assured that any BELFOR staff visiting your home will be symptom free, wearing the correct PPE and will adhere to the appropriate physical distancing guidelines at all times.
