Singapore, 18 May 2017 – BELFOR Asia, the leader in property restoration services following disaster incidents, continues to expand its presence in Asia with the setting up of its new company in South Korea. The company was incorporated on 27 December 2016 and is located in Gyeonggi-do near Seoul.

For the past 20 years, BELFOR Asia has been supporting recovery from disaster incidents in South Korea from the company’s other Asian locations. Due to an increase in business activities, BELFOR Asia hired its first Korean employee in 2015, Jae-Kyu Lee, Country Sales Manager, to support the setup of the new company and to oversee business activities in South Korea. Jae-Kyu Lee has more than 20 years of sales and engineering experience in various industries such as pulp and paper as well as the marine industry.

CEO of BELFOR Asia, Brian Whitmore, commented that “The setting up of our South Korea office shows our commitment to our clients to better support them with local resources. We are beginning to see stronger growth in South Korea and have started a recruitment drive to increase our team in Korea. Our commitment to training, education and quality standards will ensure that ongoing prompt and effective disaster recovery responses are delivered to our customers.”

With the opening of the South Korea office, BELFOR Asia has expanded its footprint to six countries in Asia, complementing its existing presence in Singapore, Thailand, Japan, China and Taiwan.
