For an industrial operation running on tight delivery schedules, extended downtime risked severe revenue losses and long-term supply chain penalties. The primary threat following an industrial flood is not just water, but the immediate onset of severe corrosion. Once completely removed, the mechanical, electrical and electronic components underwent a strict multi-stage chemical decontamination process. Technicians utilised our proprietary chemical agents applied through meticulous brushing and high-pressure spraying to remove the contaminants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Electronic components are then rinsed with Deionised (Di) water to clear away the residue of the chemical agents and mineral stains from the intricate circuitry. To remove all traces of excess moisture, our expert team utilised a temperature-controlled environment, combined with specialised vacuum ovens to efficiently and thoroughly dry each component.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every component was inspected meticulously to verify that they have been decontaminated successfully before being installed to its original configuration. The vast majority of the manufacturing plant’s automated core electronics were fully saved. BELFOR completed the massive decontamination project on schedule, handing them over to the manufacturer for safe testing and recommissioning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
