BELFOR, the global leader in disaster recovery, recently acquired 100% of the Danish Røsva Skadeservice company. This initial move into Europe’s northernmost area is the first in a region where BELFOR is targeting expansion and further investment in the near future. With more than 12.500 employees in over 500 locations in more than 55 countries, BELFOR’s geographic coverage exceeds more than 90% of global insured markets.

Røsva, a privately owned company founded in 1978 is one of the major suppliers of restoration services in Denmark. It is located in Slagelse southwest of Copenhagen and offers diverse damage control, restoration and emergency response services as well as dehumidification, indoor climate analysis and mold control. Their location covers both Zealand and Funen. With its 21,000 m2 of workspace, 92 employees and a broad array of equipment, Røsva is the largest single-service facility in Denmark. Røsva claims long-standing relationships with its major customers and has enjoyed ongoing growth over recent years which it expects to continue due to an increase in climatic extremes, especially flood-related incidents.

"This is an important acquisition for BELFOR, our first step into Scandinavia but more importantly welcoming a great company and of course their wonderful people into our family. We are delighted to join with Heidi, Lars and all the Røsva team and look forward to a strong and successful future together", says Conor Roche, COO of BELFOR Europe. BELFOR has more than 70 years of experience in damage recovery services and provides complete, 24/7 damage recovery services to customers all over the world.

“BELFOR provides us with access to a wide range of expertise, including major loss, electronics restoration and corrosion recovery services, as well as industry knowledge in wind power and shipbuilding. The new methods, capacities and technology will ensure further strong growth in the Danish market. New training opportunities for our employees in Denmark and abroad will provide them with a new and exciting workplace,” says Heidi Lyngholm, the former owner, who will stay in the company as a managing director. "BELFOR operates the company with the same set of values that we have, where the customer is always in focus,” she states.

“We are thrilled to, once again, welcome some great people into our ever-growing family, a family of great people around the world,” says Sheldon Yellen, CEO of BELFOR Holdings, Inc.

Welcome to the family, BELFOR Denmark.

The business in Slagelse will be supported by and report to BELFOR’s European headquarters in Germany.
