Developing Hurricane Harvey is expected to bring as much as 35" of rain and storm-surge flooding to Texas this weekend. Forecasters are predicting the storm to make landfall near Corpus Christi late Friday evening or early Saturday morning as a Category 3 hurricane. Harvey is capable of being the strongest storm to hit the U.S. in 12 years and could linger over Texas until Wednesday, amplifying widespread flood risks.
